Often, establishing the basics of the initial piece is necessary. Drawing helps lay the groundwork for developing the idea into a work of art, i.e., paintings. I use drawings to carve out the artwork’s unconditional narrative, moving toward how and what the finished work looks like, both compositionally and creatively.
